Session 6- Week 1- Year 5
Welcome Back
We welcomed everyone back with smiling faces and open arms after a extra long Spring Break! They started their week off with meeting their new squads for the session and getting presentations of the new works that were placed on the shelves!

Maps & Cardinal Directions
This session the heroes will be exploring through the 7 continents. This week they were introduced to maps and cardinal directions. They completed multiple challenges with the their squads this week to develop the skills needed to read a map. On Thursday, the heroes were each given their own compass and a list of challenge questions for an outside exploration. They used their compass to identify what direction surrounding locations are facing and where materials in the yard are located. We also launched on “Me on the Map.” The heroes discussed the planet, continent, country, state, city, and street they live on. They then were able to complete a activity to label all the different parts of them on a map.

Emie has mastered all of her #’s-10 works! She came back from break ready to grow her brain!
