Spark Blog Session 7- Week 1- Year 4
Welcome Back
We have made it to our final session of the school year!
We welcomed back the heroes from their week break to start our very last session of the school year! It was a busy week as we started to prepare for the first Spark Art Exhibit that will be held next Friday morning. (Make sure to check your Band post for the date and times to come check out your hero’s art). To start off the week they were introduced to all of the new works on the shelves that we planned according to their interests that they expressed to us last session. One thing that the heroes have worked so hard on this studio year is studio maintenance. We held a special ceremony on Monday morning, where the heroes were able to choose their own jobs for studio maintenance. All year long the jobs were chosen for them, but since they have shown such responsibility we were able to offer this freedom.
World Class Examples & Rough Drafts
This week your heroes have started to prepare for the Art Exhibit . Before starting each project the heroes were able to watch a slide show presentation of other hero world class examples of tear and clay art. We also launched on the importance of rough drafts and how mistakes can be turned into something great after reading “The Book of Mistakes.” After the heroes made their rough drafts they paired up with a partner and offered each other feed back, before executing their final works of art.
